Respect Life Ministry

SPIRITUAL ADOPTION

Week 1: March 22 – At Conception: Congratulations! A new human comes into existence at fertilization with 46 chromosomes. Although half of Baby’s chromosomes come from each parent’, he is genetically different from both parents, and his sex is determined genetically.

Spiritual Adoption Sign-Up!  What Is It?   Can you say a two-sentence  prayer to Jesus, Mary and Joseph for an unborn child who is in danger of abortion? Of course, you can!  Please find the Spiritual Adoption box in the narthex and fill out the form, naming your baby, and cut in half.  Place one-half in the green basket.  Take the other half as a reminder and please take a Spiritual Adoption Prayer Card! Beginning March 25th (The Feast of the Annunciation), please pray the Spiritual Adoption prayer found on the back of your prayer card.  Each week, you can follow the “footprints” of your baby’s growth. You will also receive an email about the development of your spiritually-adopted child.  The Spiritual Adoption will culminate with the Birthright of Greenville Baby Shower in November to prepare for our babies’ arrivals in December!  Please join this spiritual battle to protect each small and innocent life.

Whatsoever you do to the least of My brethren, you do unto Me.” – Matthew 25:40
