Deacon Bob Connor was ordained in the Diocese of Worcester in 2011, and he and his wife Irene moved from Massachusetts with their youngest of five children, at the end of December 2023.
Retiring in 2024 precipitated the move to South Carolina, and the town of Travelers Rest. He and his wife have a particular affinity for Pro-Life ministries, and are often working on behalf of the unborn, but are just as passionate when it comes to fighting Physician Assisted Suicide or any other issues that would seek to minimize the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.
Deacon Connor was also part of a small group that successfully brought the Choose Life license plate to Massachusetts, and the couple has also worked for and run a successful Pregnancy Resource Center that served the needs of many families, and saved the lives of many children. The two were recognized by their Bishop with the Mother Teresa Pro-Life award for all their work in this arena, and were also inducted in the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
Recently named the Director for 40 Days for Life in the Upstate/Greenville area, Deacon Bob also takes an active role in the Respect Life ministry at OLR.
